Pocket Mirrors have been a practical delight for over 100 years, dating back into 19th century. Not only are there vanity pieces, such as the Victorian one featured on our home page; in more recent times they have also become whimsical as the ones shown to the left and below.

Charleston Mint's reputation for making quality "hand-crafted" mirrors continues to flourish. Assembled one at a time, only the finest components are used assuring that each piece meets the highest standards.

We inventory a small quantity of Victorian & Cartoon Characters mirrors. E-mail us and we will send you an electronic flyer picturing what we in stock. We also manufacture a line of Religious themed mirrors that have been well received.

Pocket Mirrors have been used successfully by discriminating business owners promoting their wares. Mirrors dating from the first two decades of the Twentieth Century bring astonishing prices with the hammer's final blow at auction. It is not usual for older embedded cent pieces (in the style of the one shown below) to bring bids in excess of Fifty Dollars on eBay when rarely offered.

This century old technology was nearly lost and for the last sixty plus years no new pieces were made. Mike Allen of Kansas had the foresight to revive the craft and now Charleston Mint is carrying on the tradition assuming the mantle from Mike in 2004.

Charleston Mint is a proud sponsor of Encased Collectors International.
